In the past year, artificial intelligence has increasingly entered the daily lives of people, and starting this year, the first AI devices for monitoring the health of cats and other pets are beginning to emerge.
At CES 2024, Invoxia unveiled the Minitailz Smart Pet Tracker, a portable AI device designed specifically for cats and dogs. Minitailz is an all-in-one GPS and wellness device for pets, capable of measuring respiratory rate and vital heart values, alerting owners to potential health issues.
Invoxia claims that Minitailz can monitor anomalies in pet behavior that may indicate a problem and can distinguish between walking, running, scratching, eating and drinking, barking, meowing, and resting.
In addition to collecting information about the health of the cat or dog’s heart, which is said to have an accuracy between 97 and 99 percent, Minitailz can detect atrial fibrillation in pets. Detailed health reports are provided in an app installed on the owner’s mobile phone.

In addition to the artificial intelligence features for monitoring the health of cats, the device also has a built-in SIM with GPS technology that allows tracking daily activities or locating a lost pet. There are also geofence functions, so a cat or dog owner can be alerted if the pet goes beyond the property boundaries.

A version for dogs of the Minitailz is now available on the Invoxia website, and the model for cats is set to be released in March 2024. Both versions have a price of $99, with a subscription fee starting at $8.30 per month.
